Fateer & Ka’ak: Middle Eastern sweet treats.

Fateer: sweet filo pastry. Main ingredients flour, eggs, and oil, rolled out very thin, fried and dusted with powdered sugar. Classic Middle Eastern recipe, very much loved by Sudanese.

Ka’ak: shortbread biscuits. Main ingredients, flour, butter, cinnamon, rolled out in different shape, baked and dusted with icing sugar. Classic Middle Eastern biscuits receipt, 3500 year old. Very popular in Middle East particularly in Egypt and Sudan.
